Ann Votaw

A born and bred-Hoosier, Ann Votaw is a former dancer with many outside interests. In her early 30s, she took her first karate class. By age 33, she was a brown belt/black stripe with semi knockdown wins in New Jersey and Montreal. Now, she is completing her Masters in Health Education and Promotion at Lehman College.

Interests in injury prevention, rehab, and stress management guide her daily life. She wants her students to eat well, drink water, and experience the mindful buildup from footwork to teasers to final stretch and release. Using breath, thoughtful sequencing, and humor, Ann’s mission is to create beautiful, smart, and joyful bodies.

Some of Ann’s certifications include mat Pilates through Dance New Amsterdam and apparatus Pilates through Pilates on Fifth. Ann has a B.S. in Journalism with minors in Political Science and Dance from Ball State University.
