How Often Does Someone Do Pilates?
It all depends upon your goals and expectations
We feel that twice a week average is the most beneficial. Once a week on a regular basis is good, providing you are doing some other exercise during the week. Without a doubt two to three times per week will get you the results you seek.
We suggest that you use your first ten classes within the first month. This schedule will be twice a week, with a pair of classes to use over the weekend or sometime mid-week. We feel this is the best balance between your time and financial investment and the benefit derived. On this schedule you will have the best possible Pilates experience by ensuring that the movement patterns are in your body as quickly as possible. The sooner that happens the sooner your body will derive the profound benefits the Pilates Method can provide.
Pilates does not require a rest day and can be performed every day if desired. In fact we have have many clients who have taken two classes a day. It may be a bit of overkill but this is how they did it.
- Based upon their goals and scheduling availability:
- some clients took one class first thing in the morning and another after work
- while others took a Level 1 Class to warm up and a Level 2 Class immediately after for the burn.
